Battle of Trafalgar-themed chess set in presentation box with folding wooden board. The Battle of Trafalgar was one of the most decisive naval battles ever fought. In the course of a short October afternoon, the Combined Fleet of France and Spain, with 33 battleships, was defeated by a British force of 27 battleships off cape Trafalgar, on the south-west coast of Spain. This set of hand-decorated chess pieces is dedicated to the memory of all those who fought with Nelson, and against him, in a battle where every individual appeared a hero according to Vice Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood. Battle of Trafalgar Chess Set in Presentation Box with Board
This product is sold as a
complete chess set, comprising both hand-decorated chess
pieces and board. The board supplied is SAC's Wooden Folding
Board (code H645, normally retailing for £ 56.95)
made from Walnut and Sycamore. The board dimension is
44cm square, and the square size is 2" (50mm).
