Slugs and snails can make a gardener's life a misery,
coming out at night to devour the fruits of the gardener's labour.
Fully-grown lettuces no longer look appetizing for the table,
and seedlings are killed off before they have a chance to establish
themselves. Slug pellets are the traditional method of deterrent,
but is not something that most people these days like the idea
of. Healthy home-grown organic fruit and vegetables doesn't quite
ring true if they have been grown among chemical slug poison.

SLUG
FENCE KIT
This is an excellent starter kit, which includes everything
you need, including 10m of fencing (extra fencing available
below). A voltage pulse, safe to humans, is maintained in
the fence, which repels slugs instantly. Beneficial insects
are unharmed. The unit uses standard cheap batteries. The
system is remarkably efficient as power is mainly drawn
from the battery only when a slug or snail tries to climb
the fence. Also, power is not continuous, but delivered
more efficiently in pulses. What also makes this system
particularly efficient, is a light sensor that activates
the fence only when slugs and snails are most active. As
a conseuqence, the battery lasts up to 3 months. Our slug
guard is easy to set up and is safe in pet and child play
areas.
